The posted compensation range of $106.03 - $148.44 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Edgewise, our rapidly expanding, wholly-owned Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GPO Executive to join our growing team. This is a critical position that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our GPO operations and contribute to significant cost savings across our healthcare ministry and beyond.

We are aggressively expanding our scope to include pharmacy, capital equipment, and laboratory items, leveraging our strategic approach to optimize supply chain efficiency and deliver exceptional value. While our core serves CommonSpirit Health, our opportunity is now on exponential growth in our affiliate base, expanding our reach to a diverse range of hospitals and other institutions within and outside of the CommonSpirit umbrella.

The Opportunity:

The Senior GPO Executive will play a pivotal role in leading our expanded GPO initiatives. This individual will be a key contributor to increasing sales and managing complex administrative fees and allocations, while ensuring robust compliance and efficient operations. You will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to expand Edgewise's membership and maintain strong relationships with our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth & Sales: Drive the expansion of Edgewise’s affiliate base, actively developing and executing strategies to acquire new members and grow contract penetration for pharmacy, capital, and lab items.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead and participate in high-level contract negotiations with suppliers across a broad spectrum of healthcare products and services, with an understanding of HPG's pricing models and scale.
  • Financial Oversight & Optimization: Manage administrative fees and allocations with precision, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation. Possess a strong understanding of financial statements and how GPO operations impact profitability.
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure all GPO operations adhere to stringent compliance regulations and internal policies. Develop and implement best practices for efficient and transparent processes.
  • Roster Management & Tiers: Maintain accurate and up-to-date roster management for participant rates and tiers, ensuring all members receive appropriate pricing and benefits.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders within Edgewise, HRS (our other GPO affiliate), CommonSpirit Health, and our broader affiliate network. Adept at building relationships within large, complex organizations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with various organizational areas to identify opportunities for GPO expansion and integration.
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Pharmacy & Capital Equipment Expertise: Possess a working knowledge of pharmacy and capital equipment procurement processes and contracting methodologies.
  • System & Technology Utilization: Proficient in Google suite of products and other relevant enterprise systems for data analysis, reporting, and communication.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or other post-graduate degree
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare contracting, GPO operations, or supply chain management.
  • 7+ years of management and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance-driven operational environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to increase sales and manage complex financial processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and drive data-backed decisions.
